A loan helped To purchase fishing gear.
Nanette D. is a 49-year-old very good member of ASHI. Since she became a member of said organization, she has maintained an excellent performance in terms of repaying the loan she received. She has been attending the ASHI center meeting weekly despite her busy schedule attending to the needs of her business and to the needs of her family. Despite being poor, Nanette enjoys her life because she has a husband who is very loving and supportive as well as having two sweet and thoughtful children (12 and 19 years old). Nanette and her husband dream that one day their children will have a different kind of life. They wish that they would be able to have the capacity to support their needs to graduate from college and have their own career. To be able to do this, they both work hard to grow their small business (fishing and fish selling) and increase its revenue. Now, Nanette is requesting a much larger loan from ASHI to purchase additional fishing gear. Her husband is the one who does the fishing and Nanette sells the fish in the public market. Nanette’s eldest child now is in college and will be graduating soon. She hopes that this year her business will have more earnings in preparation for the enrollment and her child’s other educational expenses.
