Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

The Mujeres Luchadoras Group was formed by the union of friends and neighbors in the Ciudad del Este. They are looking for the way to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their 44th cycle in the women's committee program.

Ema is one of them. She devotes herself to sales. She has a well-stocked store at her house. With sacrifice she has managed to survive. She says that the crisis that the world is experiencing due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has impeded her from being able to work normally and being able to help her family, has brought consequences to her business.

She says that she needs to be able to invest a little more capital into her work in order to be able to once again raise it up and to fulfill her obligations to the Foundation, which she was not able to cover during the months in quarantine, nor was she able to work normally and raise herself up again.

She is requesting this loan to be able to buy supplies for her store. She will buy things like sugar, meat, eggs, herbs, baked goods, drinks, and other products. She is grateful for the opportunity she is getting to be able to access this loan and to manage to get ahead in this way.

Note: There is only one person in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo was not possible in order to avoid the gathering of people during the Covid-19 pandemic.
