Atuwezeshe Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on pagnes, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Atuwezeshe Group's story

Immaculee is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and leader of the Atuwezeshe banque villageoise. She is married, fifty-one years old and the mother of four children who all attend school. Her partner is a shepherd.

She sells clothing. She started this business three years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later on, he joined Hekima's program to support her business, as it developed gradually. With this new loan, she will stock up on pagnes, which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business challenge is related to a lack of customers.

She would like her children to be able to continue to study and to be able to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to business owners who lack access to traditional banking facilities during the Covid-19 global crisis. Only the group leader is shown in the photo due to Covid-19 social distancing.
