Karisimbi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase rice, oil, Omo soap, flour, and sugar in bulk to strengthen her initial capital.

Karisimbi Group's story

Madame Solange is a client of the MFI Hekima and leader of the business group Karisimbi.

She is 41 years old, married, and the mother of six children, who are in school. Her partner is a humanitarian.

She sells food items from her shop. She started this business 15 years ago with startup funding received from her husband. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business and was able to gradually make progress. With this new loan, she will purchase rice, oil, Omo soap, flour, and sugar in bulk, which will strengthen her initial capital. Her business is facing a challenge due to the current isolation.

She would like her children to continue going to school, and she would like to feed her family. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support of non-bankable business owners amid the global Covid-19 crisis. The photo is of the group leader only due to Covid-19.
