A loan helped to buy 100 sacks of shea nuts and to save money to take care of her family.

Awa's story

Awa is the mother of 4 children, 2 of whom go to school. She has worked as a merchant for over 11 years in an outlying area of town. She buys cereals that she stores and resells at the appropriate time.

She has paid back her third Kiva loan on time, and she is asking for a new loan to buy 100 sacks of shea nuts in order to increase her stock of goods. She wants to reinvest part of her earnings into her business and to save money to take care of her family. She thanks Yikri and its partners for the support they provide to non-bankable entrepreneurs. She invites people to protect themselves from the Covid-19 virus.
