Uhaki Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a supply of second-hand clothes wholesale to reinforce her initial capital.

Uhaki Group's story

Georgette is a client with the microfinance institution Hekima and is president of the banque villageoise Uhaki. She is 59 years old, married and has six children, all of whom are enrolled in school. Her partner is unemployed.

She began her business selling secondhand clothes fifteen years ago with the start-up funding received from the sale of her goat. Later she became involved with Hekima to support her business which has been developing progressively. With this new loan, she will buy a supply of secondhand clothing wholesale, which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to the covid-19 crisis.

She would like to feed her family and wants her children to continue going to school. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support shown to non-bankable business owners in the context of the global covid-19 crisis.
