Las Guayabas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy rice, sugar, beans, oats, bread, etc. for her store.

Las Guayabas Group's story

María is 37 years old. She has worked as a merchant for ten years. She started her business in the area where she lives, where there is work in the gold mines.

She is quite a fearless woman. Since she was a child she has sold certain products, and knew she would do well in commerce. She started with the help of her husband who gave her money to buy some items through catalogs, but the person who provided her the products left the area.

María's husband grows beans. He has two quintals, and María started to sell them by the pound and liked it. With the little she had saved she bought oats and bread, and people asked for more products. She continued investing and now has a small convenience store business. With it she helps with the income and in supporting her children and household.

María seeks a loan through Fundenuse with Kiva funds to invest in the purchase of products she sells in her convenience store, such as rice, sugar, beans, oats, bread, etc. She belongs to the Las Guayabas solidarity group, with Cindy and Edelma. María's future plans are to have a place where she can also sell food.
