Las Salgado Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on staple grains and to buy chickens to raise in order to grow her business.

Las Salgado Group's story

Mercedes (the woman in the red shirt holding a chicken) is a member of the communal bank Las Salgado. She is a hardworking person and a single mother of 5 children. Thanks to a loan, for eight years she's run a convenience store where she sells staple grains. For three months she's also raised and sold chickens in the Ojochal region of Telica, Nicaragua.

Mercedes needs a loan to stock up on staple grains and to buy chickens to raise in order to grow her business. She's sure that she will be successful. She works hard for her children to have a professional career and a better future.

She is grateful because, despite the crisis of the country and now the COVID-19 pandemic, she has always had the convenient funding of Pro Mujer to keep her business afloat.
Mercedes' business allows her to have money and quickly. But her main challenge is the scarcity of the product. Help Mercedes and her children pull through!
