Ruth Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy four pigs, corn, and firewood.

Ruth Group's story

Maritza del Socorro (the second from right to left who is wearing a white, embroidered blouse) is 54 years old and lives in El Sauce, Nicaragua. She is a member of the Ruth communal bank with Pro Mujer in Nicaragua. She has two children, ages 27 and 16. The oldest is a teacher.

With great effort she has managed for them to go to school in order to build a better future for them. For 12 years Maritza has been selling 'nacatamales' [Nicaraguan tamales] and butchering pigs. The fruit of her work can be seen in the improvement of her quality of life.

She needs a new loan to buy four pigs, corn, and firewood. She likes cooking and getting the money quickly. Her business allows this. Please help Maritza, a hard-working woman who wishes to improve herself.
