La Laguna Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to make 60 pounds of curd and cream a week in order to sell it.

La Laguna Group's story

Dora Isable (the woman wearing white pants) is the president of the La Laguna communal bank in Matagalpa. She is married to Jóse, a farmer. They have five children, and all of them are school age.

Dora raised chickens for some years. However, the financial crisis in the community increased the delinquency. Therefore, her business took a turn. She needs a loan to make 60 pounds of curd and cream a week in order to sell it in the rural communities in Matagalpa.

Dora is looking ahead, and she dreams of all of her children becoming professionals. However, she will only achieve this if she works hard to pay for the expenses for education, clothing, and food allowed by the earnings from the loan.

The COVID 19 pandemic is an obstacle that she struggles with. Food sales have gone down, but she makes the effort to get ahead. She relies on you to improve her life.
