Jane's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to add stock of products such as milk to boost her general store.

Jane's story

Jane, 35 years old, is blessed with five children who are aged between 20 and 1 year old. She not only supports her children but also her youngest brother in his education. With the help of her supportive husband who works as a driver, they are able to take care of their family.

Jane runs a general store selling various household necessities much like a small supermarket. Her business supports various suppliers and also a few staff. Her major challenge is running out of stock when her customers need it, most especially during this COVID-19 period.

Her loan will enable her to stock and pay back her loan using her profits. She previously had a KES 70,000 loan, which she was able to clear on time.

Her dream is to grow her business so that she may be able to leave something good for her children to inherit when they are older. Jane is very much impacted by the work Kiva is doing and is motivated to help others in the same way, whichever way that she can. She believes this will create a good impact on her society, too.
