Mourine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk-vending business, generate more profits and sustain her children as a single mother.

Mourine's story

Mourine is a 33- year old repeat kiva borrower and single mother of three children who lives in Eldoret, a town that was significantly stuck by the 2007–2008 Kenyan crisis. She practices mixed farming and sells milk, eggs, and various food crops at the local market. Mourine is unwilling to let her children suffer, which is why she works six days in a week.

Mourine loves dairy farming the most. Her greatest challenge is inadequate feed for her livestock. Mourine chose Juhudi Kilimo after realizing that they finance farmers to help obtain important assets for their farms. She is borrowing to buy another dairy cow. During the Juhudi Kilimo training, she learned how to develop a savings culture. This loan will help her family members to get more milk for consumption and sale and improve their living standard. Be inspired and lend to this single woman!
