A loan helped to buy a cow.

Noong Luong 21 Group's story

Tien, 32, is a mother of two daughters. She lives with her husband and children in a small house in a poor and remote village of Viet Nam. Her eldest daughter is in 11th grade while the other is in kindergarten. Tien's family relies mainly on agricultural production for a living.

Because of the instability of the income from agriculture, Tien works very hard at many activities, including growing rice and vegetables and raising chickens, pigs, and cows. In addition, Tien sometimes works as a construction worker.

This is her eleventh loan cycle with the Anh Chi Em (ACE) program. She would use the loan to buy cow. With the support not only of financing but also non-financial help from ACE, Tien hopes the cow will grow up fast and be healthy so that could bring her good income, which she plans to reinvest.

She stands first on the right.
