Ruth's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a toilet with accessories, cement, blocks, sand, PVC pipes, etc.

Ruth's story

Ruth is a 26-year-old young woman. She is a single mother of one son, has a degree in natural sciences, and has been a primary school teacher for nine years. She travels two kilometers by foot from her home to her workplace. Before teaching, she worked with her parents in coffee production. This allowed her to have a vision to get ahead in her studies, since she wanted to serve in her community but in a different way. While studying, becoming a professional, and pushing herself to learn, she traveled local roads more than six kilometers to be able to get her primary and secondary education. After receiving her Bachelor's degree, she traveled to another city to intern for two years in the school and advance in her educational practice. She managed to acquire a job providing primary education in her region, a dream that up until now she has felt very satisfied with in helping her neighbors.

With the income received through her work she managed to have her own home, but it still lacks some conditions like the construction of a bathroom and installation of a toilet. It is for this reason that she is requesting a loan from Fundenuse with funds from Kiva, which will help her to build her dream of having a house with all of the necessary basic conditions. Her future plans are to be able to have her own business in her home selling new clothing and shoes.
