Nyota Group's story

Georgette is a customer of the MFI Hekima and vice-president of the Nyota "banque villageoise". She is married, 49 years old, and the mother of 5 children, all of whom attend school. Her husband is a doctor.

She sells food and started her business in 2006 with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's program in order to support her business and has been progressing steadily since. She will use this new loan to buy tomatoes, onions, and fish wholesale. The main challenge to her business right now is the Covid-19 crisis.

She would like her children to stay in school, and she would like to be able to build a house and open a pharmacy.

Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and its partners for their continued support of owners of non-bankable businesses during this Covid-19 crisis.
