Shangilieni Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy nails, electric cables, and plumbing supplies.

Shangilieni Group's story

Deodate is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Shangilieni "banque villageoise". She is married, 54 years old, and the mother of 11 children, 2 of whom attend school and 9 of whom are independent. Her husband is a merchant.

She sells hardware. She started her business in 1992 with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's program in order to strengthen her business and has been progressing steadily since. She will use this new loan to buy nails, electric cables, and plumbing supplies. The main challenge to her business is the current Covid-19 crisis.

She would like to be able to feed her family and for her children to stay in school.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for their continued support of owners of non-bankable businesses during this Covid-19 crisis.

The photo only depicts the leader of the group because of Covid-19 guidelines.
