Umoja Virunga Group's story

Mrs. Nicole is a Hekima IMF client and she presides the banc villageois « Umoja Virunga ». She is aged 50, a widow, and she has three children who have all finished their studies.

She sells drinks in a kiosk, she started this business 15 years ago with money that her biological father gave to her. Later, she integrated the Hekima programme to support her activity and she has progressed steadily since. With this new loan, she will buy 20 crates of drinks wholesale and this will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge of her activity is the lack of clientele during this period of crisis linked to Covid-19.

She would like her children to continue studying and she wants to be able to feed her family in spite of the shortage of cash due to the present crisis.

Finally, she wants to thank Hekima and their partners for their support for business owners who are without monetary value in this period of global crisis. The photo is just of the leader of the group due to covid-19.
