Peace 3 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics to sew washable face masks and personal protective equipment suits in high demand during the COVID-19 quarantine period.

Peace 3 Group's story

Renalyn and her group are thankful for the previous loan extended to them. Renalyn bought scrap fabrics that she sewed into round rags and sold to bulk buyers. The rest of the group also used their part of the loan for their respective businesses. The group repaid their loan on time.

When the COVID-19 pandemic affected the country, most businesses were shut down which hurt the economies of low-income families. Marites, another member of the group who also sewed round rags, experienced the decline in the demand for round rags. People have naturally tended to prioritize buying essentials such as food.

However, as she is determined to continue providing support to her family, Marites is requesting another loan to buy fabrics to sew washable face masks and personal protective equipment suits in high demand during the quarantine period. Marites and the rest of the group hope to be able to continuously earn and provide products needed by their community.

Note: This is a group loan. However, only Marites was photographed as the government prohibits all forms of social gatherings.
