Edah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped a single mom buy farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and fertilizer to increase her crop production, earn more profit, and elevate her living standards.

Edah's story

Edah, a 33-year-old single mom of one, is a charismatic young woman and the definition of a hard worker. A farmer and salesperson with access to many sellers throughout the food business, she keeps cows on her farm and has a small garden where she plants crops.

Over time, the fertility of Edah's land has started to dwindle; whenever she plants her crops, the yields decline with each season.

Today, Edah is requesting a loan from Juhudi Kilimo, via Kiva lenders, to buy farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and fertilizer. Through this loan, she is going to increase her crop production, and this will translate into improved income.

This loan will change Edah's living standards, and there is no doubt that, if you invest in her, the next planting season will be great. Light up a life this season and empower a smallholder Kenyan woman through a loan!
