Barnabas's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to meet the high demand in his area.

Barnabas's story

Barnabas (pictured with his better half with one of their cows) is a hardworking man who is very determined to succeed and give his family a better life. Barnabas lives in a remote village in Kitale and sustains his children using the proceeds of his farming. Because of his love for farming, he has even nicknamed one of his cows. Barnabas has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented his from doing so.

He is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve his milk vending business. The cow he intends to buy is a breed that produces rich creamy milk. With this cow, he will produce more milk, which will translate into more income. Demand for dairy milk in his area is high, but the supply is low. So, through this loan, Barnabas is going to have more milk and comfortably meet demand. Barnabas's vision is to keep even more dairy cows so that he will be able to build a biodigester, which will help him to save more energy.
