Mercy's story

Mercy, pictured in her simple iron sheet made house, is a 34-year-old mother of two children who is known among her customers as a lovable and charismatic woman. She works on her own farm.

Living in a poor country has never been an excuse for Mercy, who has been practicing mixed farming for the last few years. Through farming, she has made her life meaningful and given her family a solid reputation.

She is a mom eager to get ahead. She lives in the Kitale, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also many agricultural enterprises.

Mercy dreams that through farming, she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all of her children successfully complete their studies. She is a visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps progressing.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, has extended its services to the remote areas in the Kitale region of Kenya, and its staff is keen to ensure that hardworking women like Mercy benefit from loans that should enable them to purchase farming inputs.

Mercy is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as certified seeds and rich fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her production by using quality farm inputs. Through this intervention, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers, thus leading to more profits.

Please support her during this planting season of 2020 and make her life bright.
