A loan helped to buy eucalyptus seeds so that he can reforest 8.1 hectares of soil.

Sol Naciente Group's story

Saul is from the Toba Qom San Francisco Cerriteños indigenous community. He works at a coal company for daily wages. He is very interested in getting involved with the reforestation project because he sees it as an opportunity for his family, since currently there are no decent and secure jobs for young people.

His parents previously worked in sugarcane production, an industry that sustained several families of the area; but for various reasons, this industry was lost and the families had to painstakingly search for other business activities. In addition, to this day they maintain their main industry, which is artisanal crafts, an activity that puts food on the tables of 100% of the families.

In addition to worry over how to make a living, Saul has seen the problems caused by deforestation, the loss of green spaces, and the pollution that affects the whole world today. So, doing his part, he is looking for a way to be able to support his community in this regard.

He requests this loan to be able to buy eucalyptus seeds so that he can reforest 8.1 hectares of soil, so that he can continue supporting both his community and the recovery of green spaces.
