Galuh's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in a bulk purchase of fabric and other supplies.

Galuh's story

Galuh is an artisan from Indonesia who specializes in women's apparel. She would like to invest in a bulk purchase of fabric and other supplies.

Galuh has been selling through NOVICA since 2011. This is her story: "As a teenager I designed and made my own outfits and my friends loved them! In fact, some of them started to purchase my designs. It feels so great to know that others appreciate my designs. Through this craft I can express my freedom through the colors, designs, and fabrics that suit my personality."

"Hi there, thank you for your endless support which has made a significant impact on the growth of my apparel home industry in the past years. In this difficult time, the global pandemic has deeply affected every country in both health concerns and economic matters, but especially Bali, since most of the locals rely on tourism business.

I would like to apply for an artisan loan to secure raw materials for production and to support my team. They are mostly women, and many of their spouses and/or parents have suffered from losing their jobs in the tourism business. I am praying this situation is not going to last long."
