Djiguiya N°2 Group's story

Arouna can be found in the photograph holding the rope around the ram's neck. He is 43 years old and married, with five children between the ages of 2 and 16. Two of his children attend school. His wife breeds sheep, which they resell to care for their family.

Arouna has raised sheep for the past decade; he sells them in the local weekly marketplaces for between 20 000 and 25 000 CFA a head. He is generous and has a good reputation in his village.

With the profits from these sales, Arouna is able to cover his family's living expenses, such as medical care, food, and his children's education. At the moment, Arouna owns three sheep.

Arouna plans to use this loan to develop his business.
