Jarlin's story

Jarlin, age 39, owns a grain mill and he has given his services to his customer for over 20 years. The tortillerías are his regular customers since he has a mill for corn dough and another for pinol (a drink made of roasted maize flour or corn flour).

His wife helps him with the business, since sometimes he has to go on the streets and deliver eggs to the grocery stores of his community.

With the hope of continuing diversifying his business and the help of the loans that Kiva and MiCrédito have given him in the past, he requested a loan from MiCrédito along with Kiva to buy used shoes for later sale.

It is his wish to generate more incomes every day for his family and diversify. In the not too distant future, he wants to have a shop in a central location to offer clothing and shoes for men and women.
