A loan helped to purchase more seeds and farming materials for her farm.

Azara's story

Azara is a 36-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband in the Savelugu Municipal in Ghana.

Azara is a farmer who used her first Kiva loan to expand her farmland. Azara is now requesting a second loan to purchase more seeds and farming materials. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her children’s school fees and to expand her business. Azara will repay her loan with ‘social interest’ by volunteering two-and- a-half hours per week as a health activist, delivering health-related programs in her local community, which cover topics such as sanitation, infant care, and HIV/AIDS.
