A loan helped to buy cereal grains such as corn and beans to sell to her customers and earn extra income to help this loving mother support her lovely children.

Polyne's story

Polyne, who is 55 years of age, is the mother of four children. They live in Eldoret, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands which favour large-scale grain, dairy, and horticultural farming. Having grown up in a poor family, she promised herself that she would change the situation by going the extra mile. With her good farm management skills, she has been able to achieve great success on her farm.

As a poor woman, Polyne is very focused on making her life meaningful. She obtains her income through dairy farming and vegetable production. Being the major breadwinner in her house, she decided to start a cereal business with a loan that she obtained from Juhudi Kilimo. The business is growing and she is getting new customers.

Polyne is very creative and has the ability to come up with unique, new responses to situations. She has the insight to recognize and take up useful new approaches to farming. She is seeking this loan to buy cereal grains to sell to her customers and earn extra income. Kenya's Nkubu area, one of the country's populated regions, has a high demand for cereals. This means that Polyne could increase her profits and satisfy the demand that is there.

Accessing funds has been a challenge for Polyne, but since she joined Kiva's partner Juhudi, she feels relieved and happy that her life has transformed. Kindly lend to this determined woman.
