Edward's story

My passion for culinary stems from my childhood, as my mom and dad enjoyed cooking for the family and sharing their tips and tricks with us kids. I started working in the food industry as soon as I could get my hands dirty. Having managed two restaurants in Los Angeles, I garnered experience in the restaurant industry, learning how to combine my love for food with the formalities of running a business. This inspired me to found my own business, Wonderphilly. I got the idea for the product, Philly cheesesteaks, by researching the food truck market and observing less competition for this product. Initially beginning in Chino Hills, I moved Wonderphilly to my hometown, San Francisco, California. Now, I operate and serve the Bay Area, specifically the East Bay. Although starting Wonderphilly was challenging because I had to learn on the job and start the business on my own, I think my business has been doing exceptionally well until the stay-at-home order was in place due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Due to the outbreak, I have faced several challenges that I am trying to overcome.
