Siranya's story

Siranya is an artisan from Thailand who specializes in sterling silver jewelry with Karen hill tribe fine silver beads. She would like to invest in a bulk purchase of materials such as silver and gemstones as well as some new tools for her workshop.

Siranya has been selling through NOVICA since 2017. This is her story:

Siranya says, 'I've loved to draw and write since I was young. Because my favorite hobby is drawing, I was thinking about doing something with it that could bring in an income. I started with drawing pictures and writing good poems on stencil paper. Then I'd frame these to sell. People loved them and bought them, and I felt proud every time they did and. Later, I started crafting handmade jewelry and used to sell most of it on village streets. We have two children now and moved to the city so they could attend good schools but I still make handmade jewelry as my hobby and I sell it on the streets and also in a market near my house. I hope you like my designs and I'd love to hear your comments.'

"Thank you for helping me to increase the cash flow liquidity. I will make the most out of it. This microcredit program is the best that I have ever had. It can help me a lot. Thank you very much."
