Rafiki Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies of secondhand shoes, reinforcing her capital.

Rafiki Group's story

Nikuze is a client at IMF Hekima and is head of the "Rafiki" banc villageois. She is 52 years old and is married with 13 children, all of whom attend school. Her husband is unemployed.

Nikuze sells secondhand shoes, having started this business 27 years ago with start-up funding from her small income-generating activities. She later got involved with the Hekima program to support her business and, in conjunction with them, the business has gradually evolved. With this new loan she is going to buy secondhand shoes which will boost her capital. The challenge of her work is linked to police harassment.

She would like her children to continue to attend school and to feed her family. Lastly, she wishes to thank Hekima and their partners for the support they give to non-bankable business owners.
