Total loan: $100

Mbale, Eastern Region, Uganda / Personal Use

Agnes's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to access solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Agnes's story

Agnes is a 43-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with 12 other family members (including eight dependents), without access to electricity. Agnes works as a head teacher but struggles with charcoal energy expenses. She spends a total of UGX 130,000 on all of her fuel and electricity expenses.

Agnes bought the ACE 1 cook-stove to help her and her family save the money they spend every month on fuel and also to access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices anytime for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass- and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cook-stove, please visit africancleanenergy.com and Facebook@African Clean Energy.
