A loan helped to stock up on used shoes wholesale, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Tuimizana Group's story

Julienne is a client with the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the banque villageoise Tuimizana. She is 42 years old, widowed and has eight children who attend school.

Fifteen years ago, she began selling used shoes using the start-up capital she received from her late husband. Later, she got Hekima involved in supporting her business, which has been developing progressively.

With this new loan, she will stock up on used shoes wholesale, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenges of her business are a lack of customers and the exchange rates.

She would like to feed her family and wants her children to continue going to school. Lastly, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support shown to non-bankable business owners.

The borrowers prefer to be shown with their children in the photo.
