A loan helped to buy good-quality seeds, fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide to potentially double her production.

Jackline's story

In search of a better future for her family, which consists of her husband and her lovely children, Jackline(43 years old mom of 3) started mixed farming few years ago. Her family's main income source is milk from their dairy farm. However, they are also involved in other agricultural activities, such as growing maize and dairy.

The biggest problem that farmers from Jackline's village face is the huge lack of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from Kitale, such as Jackline, can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Jackline is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs, such as good-quality seeds and fertilizer. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help Jackline to contribute to filling the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, to generate more income to repay her loan debt and improve the quality of life for her family.

Jackline hopes to improve the living conditions in her house. Help this zealous mom to accomplish all her dreams with just a loan!
