Beatrice's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as quality seeds and fertilizers to help improve her crop production.

Beatrice's story

Get to know Beatrice (34 years old and a mom of three), a Kiva borrower with an impeccable credit history. She is a farmer from Bungoma, a town whose surroundings have vast agricultural potential with numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises.

She is a skillful farmer, with many years of experience under her belt. Her main income source is milk from her dairy farm. However, she is also involved in other agricultural activities such as growing different crops.

The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from her village like Beatrice can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Beatrice is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs.

This intervention will help her meet the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life.

Give hope this 2020 season with just a loan.
