Hannah's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs to improve production, and through the increased profits, support her four lovely children.

Hannah's story

Hello, Kiva Community!

Hannah is a repeat Kiva borrower and a mother of four children living in Engineer, a town surrounded by prime agricultural lands that favor large-scale grain farming, dairy and horticultural farming. She is 42 years of age and commands a lot of respect among other farmers in her village. Her primary income sources are poultry and milk, and she engages in some personal business to supplement her meager income.

Hannah enjoys generating income out of the products from her own farm. She loves farming and she is aiming at improving the quality of her crops. Before joining Juhudi Kilimo, Hannah could not access loans from banks, since she is a woman and a smallholder farmer. She joined Juhudi Kilimo and learned about saving and various agribusiness enterprises. She also got to learn about Kiva.

Hannah is seeking a loan to purchase farm inputs (fertilizers and certified seeds). With your loan, it will make her farm activities much easier and increase productivity because of using good fertilizers. This will boost her income and enable her to pay school fees for her children. Hannah waits for your kindness. Hannah is very thankful in advance for your understanding and support.
