Mary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for farm inputs and to hire labor in order to improve her farm yield, for profits to ensure her two children graduate from school.

Mary's story

Mary is a 50-year-old mother of two children living in Eldoret, an area endowed with beautifully-flowing natural streams and green vegetation. She practices dairy farming and vegetable production. She sells her produce at her local market to earn a living to support her family. Due to poverty and adversities that hit her family when she was a child, Mary was forced to stop school in the secondary level. She joined her parents and started farming. After she got married, she started her own mixed farm that has supported her family until now.

Mary is seeking a 30,000 KES loan to pay for farm inputs and to hire labor to grow more crops on the farm. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Mary will be able to pay the high cost for farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profits will be ploughed back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her family.

Mary really hopes for your help and contribution, and she thanks you in advance.
