A loan helped to buy poultry.
Rubanga Lakica Savings ''b'' Group's story
Josephine, 41, is married with six children, four of whom go to school. She grows beans, soya, maize and groundnuts. She is challenged by climatic changes.
To increase her income, Josephine is requesting a loan from VisionFund Uganda to buy poultry. With a large piece of land, she has thought of raising free-range poultry. This will eliminate the need to buy feeds, since the poultry will feed on the green vegetation on her land, thus cutting done the cost and increasing income. Upon selling the chickens, she will use the income to purchase more seeds and boost her farming ventures.
Josephine is grateful to Kiva for the financial support.
