Mwenda Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cassava flour, maize, and charcoal to make a local drink.

Mwenda Group's story

Colette is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Mwenda "banque villageoise". She is married, 47 years old, and the mother of 6 children who all attend school. Her spouse is a doctor.

She sells a local drink, a business she started 14 years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima in order to support her business and has been gradually progressing since.

She plans to use this new loan to buy cassava flour, maize, and charcoal, so that she can make a local drink. The only challenge her business faces is when something goes wrong with the production of the drink.

She would like her children to be able to continue with their studies.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they give to owners of non-bankable businesses.
