Matsoapong Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE-1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting, and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Matsoapong Group's story

Paulina is a 29-year-old woman who lives in a 2-bedroom house, without access to electricity, with 8 other family members including 3 children. Paulina relies on commercial farming and struggles with buying multiple fuels and a low income. She spends most amount her energy expenses on mobile phone charging, gas, and paraffin, which cost up to LSL225 per month. She also spends as much as 4 hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Paulina and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE-1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices anytime for free. The ACE-1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar-powered.
