Valente's story

Valente is a modest and a hard working 38-year-old man who has amazing skills in furniture making. He lives in Liquisa municipality with his family, and it is one of the most financially excluded cities in East Timor.

Valente has a carpentry business that started up with his own working capital. The business has been running for many years now. Valente enjoys running the carpentry business because it allows him to be independent and provide a better and healthy life for his family.

He is requesting a $500 loan through KIF to help him buy some timber, glue, nails, and new carpentry machine. This will allow him to make more furniture to sell and generate income for his family.

Valente hopes to run a bigger business in the future as a result from the investment, and wants to thank all lenders for the opportunity.
