A loan helped to buy cosmetics and sell them from home.

Hanan's story

Hanan is a married woman with five children, three of whom attend school. Her husband is a teacher and she works at a medicine company.

Although both of them work and have income, the high living situations and hardship to cover all the basic needs made Hanan think of a way to gain more money. She decided to benefit from her good relations and her hobby of hair dressing. So, she started a home-based hair salon business regarding the area needs.

Customers started to rely on Hanan’s products and services. They felt more relief to go to her small salon.

Hanan couldn’t cover the customers’ requests by herself, so she had to ask for 800 JOD loan to buy these extra products and keep working on her business.

Her ambition is to insure her children a better life in the near future.

However, Microfund for Women will report and send repayments to Kiva as they are actually collected.
