Elba Alicia's story

Tosagua is a productive canton, where coffee, cocoa, bananas, corn, and more is grown. There is also a lot of livestock including barnyard birds and hogs.
Elba Alicia is 84. She is a widow with 12 children, all grown and independent except for one daughter who still lives with her due to a disability. They live in their own home.
Elba works hard every day with her little grocery store that she runs out of her home.
She sells a variety of products such as rice, sugar, salt, oil, detergent, canned goods, ice cream, candy, etc. She starts work very early in the morning. With this new loan she will purchase groceries to stock her store. Her dream is to have a larger business and for her family to continue to have good health.
