Joyce's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy chicken feed, chicks, and equipment that will contribute to the successful expansion and operation of her business.

Joyce's story

Joyce is a 20-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Luwingu District in Zambia. She is the CAMA Vice Chairperson in her cluster. She runs a poultry business.

She is requesting a Kiva loan to expand her business by buying chicken feed, chicks, and equipment, which will contribute to the successful operation of her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to save for her education.

Joyce will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Transition Guide, supporting other young women who are just entering CAMFED’s alumnae organization, CAMA, by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health, financial literacy, and career guidance.
