A loan helped to purchase a large quantity of Irish potatoes for sale.

Fartunee's story

Fartunee is 46 years old, married and has six children. She lives well with her family, and she is very committed to the well-being of her family. Her dream and hope is to improve her family’s standard of living.

For seven years, Fartunee has sold Irish potatoes, and she has one employee to help her. She wants to expand her business gradually, but her lack of capital prevents her from doing so.

Therefore, she is requesting a loan to purchase a large quantity of Irish potatoes for sale.

She will use the profits generated by this loan to pay for her family’s medical insurance, to pay school fees for her children and to expand her business.

This is her third loan with VisionFund Rwanda, and she is trying to pay on track.

Fartunee is truly appreciative of the Kiva lenders for allowing her this loan.
