A loan helped to purchase more bags, water, and other items to sell.

Maima's story

Meet 35-year-old Maima from Liberia. She is married with two children. Both of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She never had the opportunity to attend school.

She runs a business that sells bags, water, and other items. She has dealt in this business for the past eight years now and works 15 hours per day, six days a week.

For the time being, she has had no problem with her business. She requested this loan from BRAC to purchase more bags, water, and other items to sell and increase her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve their standard of living.

She is so proud of her business because it helps provide for her needs. In the future, she would like to build a store and continue sending her children to school. She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
