Agnes's story
Meet 44-year-old Agnes from Liberia. She is married with three children. All of her children are currently attending school while living at home.
Agnes runs a business where she sells chicken, pig feet, cow meat and other items. She has dealt in this business for the past four years now and works 15 hours per day, six days a week. For the time being, she has had no problems with her business.
Agnes requested this loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner, to purchase more chicken, pig feet, cow meat and other items to sell. She says that the income from this loan will help improve her family's standard of living.
In the future, Agnes wants to continue educating her children and to build a house. She says thanks and gives appreciation to BRAC and the Kiva community for their support.
