Sreyiech's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to build a household latrine and buy its necessities.

Sreyiech's story

Sreyiech, aged 41, is a housewife and has a lovely child. Sreyiech lives with her family located in the far area of Angkor Chey district, Kampot province. She and her child are living by depending on her husband's income. To enhance the family’s economic situation, her husband decided to get an occupation as a seller. Her husband makes a lot of effort with the task by buying scraps from villagers and selling them to the local traders to earn a living. With this hard work, her husband can earn approximately $6 per day. That's barely enough to pay for the family's meals, clothes, medicine and her child's education fees.

Currently, Sreyiech’s family doesn’t have a safe latrine for use at home, so she wants to improve the sanitation and personal hygiene. In this regard, she has requested a loan of 2,000,000 KHR to build a household latrine and buy its necessities. She will also use the remaining balance to build a water store at home. Thanks to the water loan program offered by HKL, with a special interest rate, it is encouraging her to focus on healthy living conditions and to safeguard the health of her family and protect the environment.
