Alpha Mae's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fish trap materials like plastic screen, plywood and nails, and then more plywood and nails to repair their fishing boat.

Alpha Mae's story

Alpha Mae is 22 years old and has two dependents. She lives in a simple dwelling in San Dionisio, Iloilo. She and her husband are engaged in fishing to earn a living, and they have been earning through this livelihood for many years.

Alpha Mae is now asking for a loan through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (a micro-finance NGO in the Philippines) to help them to buy fish trap materials like plastic screen, plywood and nails. Another part of this loan will be used to buy plywood and nails to repair their fishing boat. This loan will be a great help for them to restore their boat and improve their catch.
