Kenia Isabel's story

The city of Portoviejo, which was affected by the earthquake of April 16th, 2016, is a major producer of vegetables, pulses and tropical fruits in Ecuador.

Kenia Isabel is 44, divorced and has two children who are aged 10 and 23. Her youngest attends school while her oldest lives independently. They live in their own home.

Kenia runs a florist business from her home. She makes floral arrangements, and gift arrangements for birthdays. She sells to order and takes orders online or from customers who come to her home. The main supplies used to make up her gift arrangements are soft toys, gift cards, flowers, chocolates, balloons and other surprises. She works every day and delivers to her customers’ homes or their place of choice.

This new loan will be used to buy materials such as gift cards, soft toys, baskets, balloons and flowers. Her goal is to have her own premises and keep her gift business going.
