A loan helped to run a poultry farm.

01_Ndieyennesirakh2 Group's story

This banc villageois, created in August 2019, is made up of fifteen women who live in the same village; they are firmly connected by family ties, friendship and solidarity. They have already paid back several loans on time. Their primary business is trade.

Saye, 45 years old, is the group representant, shown at the very left of the photo raising her hand. She is a married woman who has six children, two of whom are girls, and who all attend school.

Saye operates a poultry farming business; she gets her supplies from the market at the city closest to her village and does her farming at her home, where she has her henhouse. She benefits from a good deal of experience - more than five years - in this sector.

With this new loan she will buy 150 chicks and bags of feed and also pay for vaccinations. She cares well for her poultry and puts her chickens up for sale at affordable prices after two months.

With the profit, she increases her savings and helps her husband to manage their everyday expenses.
